Description

To provide regular, sound and accurate financial advice and information to the Board, CEO and other management team members.

Formulate and implement short and long term financial policies, strategies and plans.

Develop, recommend and implement innovative ways to increase revenue and reduce costs in order to improve the viability of the organisation.

Oversee timeous and accurate financial reporting.

Develop and implement effective internal finacial controls.

Ensure adequate funding for business growth and manage risk.

Develop and implement innovative strategies for smooth cash flows

Ensure adherence to sound corporate governance principles.

Coordinate year end process, external auditors and support the Board Audit Committee.

Manage the organisation's procurement system and ensure that procurement activities are effective and in compliance with the legislation.

Ensure ICT systems are up to date and relevant.

Develop and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally.

Qualifications

Must have Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance and a post graduate qualification e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA

Possession of an MBA/MBL will be an added advantage 

Over 10 years progressive corporate working expereinece in Financial management and with at least 45 years at Senior management level encompasing a broad range of functions.

 

Preferred Skills

Good understanding of current corporate governance principles, regulatory, taxation and legislative issues.

Have strength and vision to influence Executive Management decisions.

Hidgly developed interpersonal, negotiating, organisational and communication skills.

A team player who is able to interact confidently at Board level.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Must be able to demonstrate capacity for maintating high professional standards.
